Terry Ripley: Lead guitar

Terry is the youngest, and newest member of Thief.  He is the only member whose tenure can be measured in nano-seconds instead of decades.  An accomplished musician, Terry was a child prodigy, mastering the tuba, xylophone and contra bassoon by the time he was 7.  When he hit junior high, Terry switched to guitar because it was easier to carry and, as he puts it, "The chicks didn't respond well to the contra bassoon."

Terry got his start as a professional musician as a wandering minstrel, traveling on a monthly circuit from town to town bringing joy and merriment to all within earshot.  Since he was too young to drive at that time, Terry did all of his monthly traveling on a minstrel cycle.

Terry joined Thief directly from his prior employment as the head of the music and poetry department at Mrs. Beasley’s School for Wayward Women.  He became available because his tenure at Mrs. Beasley's was cut unexpectedly short.  The employment records are unclear as to why Terry left Mrs. Beasley's employ, and since the lawsuit settlement prevents any party from discussing the matter publicly, it is unknown whether Terry left the school voluntarily or was asked to resign.  When questioned about the matter, Terry will merely mutter something about an “unfortunate misunderstanding.”  He is quick to add that no criminal charges were ever filed.

Little known fact about Terry: he is an accomplished jazz trumpeter, making him the undisputed horniest guy in the band.
